Subject: RE: Dusty home

There IS an amazing amount of junk in the ducts after construction. Have them cleaned and ask them for the debris. Chunks of drywall and 2 X 4,,,alot of sawdust and drywall dust. Might ask how they keep from sucking it into the A/C coil.

One of those air purifiers may help also besides using the allergen filters in the furnace. IF your ducts are in an exposed area like a basement some of that silver foil tape and duct sealant that comes in a gallon can is money well spent.

Chasing dust is sometimes a full time job. Make sure the right tools are used,,,microfiber dusting clothes with a sticky spray. The 'Swiffer' duster works pretty well and doesnt chase so much vs capture. Changing the furnace filters BEFORE they look dirty may help also. Alot more often than most get changed. They make a small filter that fits on the heat register that may help also. If you notice the air purifier helping another one or two would help the kitchen and bedroom.

Also check your humidity level and pets in home can increase the load.
