SC Wisconsin | I remember seeing something on This Old House (I think) where they recommended that you make sure your ducts are sealed before spending $$ on cleaning. Something about how a leaky cold air return duct going through dusty areas can suck in a lot of dust in over the course of a day. I'd probably also look at a better filter - we have one of the pleated ones and really like it.
