The Big Green Egg and the Traeger are both nice units, I'd actually like to have one of each.  For half the cost of an Egg, you can own a Weber smoker and a 22" Weber charcoal grill.  Just something to think about, and a combination that gives me some flexibility if for instance I want to do something like a pork butt low & slow and do burgers, or hot dogs, or chicken, etc. on high heat at the same time.
