Hello all. I am looking to put auto steer and row clutches on a 215 case tractor paired with a Kinze 3650 planter . I was wondering which auto steer would be most user friendly to use in terraced land, we plant everything with the terraces and the contour . Everyone I know seems very happy with Deere auto steer but we don't have Deere tractors so we we are curious as to what what other option others were most satisfied with. Thanks for your help!
The AFS Pro 700 will do guidance and planter control, as well as integrating with the tractor systems (hitch, remotes, end-of-row functions, etc.) If the planter is ISO, the planter will be plug-and-play with the 700 for basic features, and an $800 unlock for the 700 will let you run variable-rate and section control. If the planter is not ISO, you would need to retrofit the control system with an AFS AccuControl system, which would be some additional investment up front. |
