Texas Panhandle | May sound like a dumb question (probably is), but I haven't bought land before and have considered a small place down the road. Just curious how depreciation on the improvements works. I'm talking irrigation systems, pipeline, etc, no buildings. How does the IRS let you value it, and is it all taken up front or is it spaced over several years? Would talk to my CPA but hey...its after 5 and I'm curious. Thanks in advance. | |
