North Dakota | I work as a PFS at a CNH dealer and I have to say that when the farmers make money,I make money. I started as a mechanic in 1974 and have seen big ups and big downs, the ups are a lot more fun. I went 8 years in the 80's without a raise, and other years in the 90's 2000's with a .05-.30 / hour raise, so those years I went backwards but I stuck with my boss and when times got better he is more generous.
So what I'm saying is, prosperity is like something else, it runs downhill. Farmer makes money, I make money, car dealer makes money, grocery store makes money and around it goes. And yes, the last few years have been the most fun I've had as a mechanic. | |
