wc wisconsin | Thinking about switching to conventional corn this coming year. Can buy conventional for $130.00 per bag vs $260.00 which is RR and VT2. With the difference in seed and herbicide cost for each. I figure I would need an extra 9-10 bu/acre just to cover extra cost of RR VT2 seed. Does the traited seeds really preform that much better? Seed salesman tells me dont even think about buying conventional, but he does not have any conventional seed in his seed line up. TIA | |
