Dave's attachment does a nice job of explaining it.
Pretty much have soil tests done, shoe that the fertility levels are higher than what would normally be considered optimum, calculate what that excess is worth in terms of CURRENT fertililizer prices.
Talk to a good ag tax attorney or CPA about it. It can be worth a couple hundred bucks an acre and is well worth the time of looking into it. |
