NCND | Ya I remeber that. I did some things right that fall. Planted a lot if ww with 25lbs map and 40 lbs n. Sold cash 8$ as a hedge on inputs. Ended up about 35bpa. Bought urea day started spreading in spring. . Ended up averaging 87bpa so it was a win.
I just told myself fertilizer couldn't stay that high or no one would buy any so I went ahead and planted ww and hedged while prices were high. Kinda like legging into soread trade. Risky but when you nail it you make money coming and going.
We are not in same scenario now because fert is wash with nc prices. No mans land I call it. No obvious play. Not any fun but there will be opportunity I hope.
Btw I'd love to help move but I've got grass to wTch turn brown and a few loads of dirty socks to wash so I'm swamped;). Hate that moving!!
