just south of Indianapolis
We bought a new to us Valmar air seeder with a 40 ft. boom. We blew on about 700 acres of cereal rye. The unit cost us about three thousand and time wise you can pull it around 8-10 mph with a smaller tractor. Stand wise we'll see but the rye was sprouting yesterday. We've been looking for the cheapest way to get cereal rye on and I think it doesn't get cheaper or easier than this.
