Little River, TX
Interesting,
My hay farm is maybe 8 to 10 miles North of Holland, Texas, and the South of the Blackland Research Center.

I have met and heard Haney a few times. He is on the USDA side of the research center, which probably provides him more freedom of action than if he were on the Extension side of the Center.

A number of farmers have contributed soil samples to DR Haney. This is encouraging as our soils are not the typical Corn Belt Soils. We have a calcareous soil that is also a heavy high shrink clay with a unusually high CEC. If what works here & works in Western Illinois University it id probably close to being a Universal Truth.
