The school districts could start saving big time $ by combining superintendents between districts. Look at how many pupils there are per super in towns like Lincoln or Omaha. Our district has around 200 kids.....and a very low super to pupil ratio to say the least.
It will take a fundamental restructuring of the system for this to happen. Won't hold my breath.
May want to look closer at Lincoln and Omaha they may have 10-20 assistant supers that do all the jobs of a super in a smaller school they may not even be called assistants. Larger schools here spend more dollars per student on administrater salaries than some of the smaller schools. All of them need to take a second look at how they spend money. |
