SW MN | I know of people who have built houses that finished and lived in the basement until they could afford to finish the main floor. One person built the house frame and just worked at finishing it as time and money allowed. The other just put the joists over the basement and lived that way till he could afford to build the rest, not sure how he made it water tight though. I don't know how this would fit your situation, but would be one way to be able to build a good home without all the initial expense. | |
