Subject: Minecraft requirements....

SC Wisconsin
My 6 year old is into minecraft. I guess every 6 year old around here is. I scratched my head at why, but after watching him use it and gather resources to create buildings/objects I can see where there can be some educational benefit to it. It's sort of like Oregon Trail from back in the day. Right now he has the Minecraft PE on mom's Kindle, but were were thinking of getting the full verision for our computer for Christmas. Use would be subject to time limits, no multiplayer, server, ect. just like mom's Kindle is set up today.

What sort of realistic hardware requirements should I expect for smooth play? I've seen anywhere from integrated graphics (which I'm not sure I believe) all the way up to a HD 78xx(which was from what appeared to be an uber Minecraft user). I've also read it is more processor/memory intensive than GPU bound. Currently we have a FX6300, 8GB memory, and a HD7750. I suspect that will be enough and then some, but I really don't know.

Thoughts?
