Corydon, IA

Been doing plots on my sons farm for two years now. 13 was corn and 14 was beans. Didn't get real aggressive in 13 comparing in furrow with no in furrow entries but we did this year on beans. We put 2.5 gallons of 6-24-6 and cut it with 2.5 gallons of water to give us 5 gallons of total liquid. 3 out of the 4 entries showed a positive gain. One entry was 9 bushels better. The one that was negative was in a wet spot in the field so we cant really rely on that info as there were some drowned out places in the entries. This ground was worked and the fertility and PH are good. PH is 7 right on the money.

Next year we are doing a bean plot on my farm and a corn plot on my sons. I plan on doing each entry both ways, one with and one without in furrow.
