Great post below about duals. What would you do if you have saddle tanks? Here is what I run. IH 5288 w/ 18.4 38's. There are radial Firestones. 2wd. Have saddle tanks that can hold up to 500 gals.. 28% in them. Most of time 400 gal or less. No-till 99% of time. Planter is a 12 row IH 900 HRF. No real good place to put tanks on planter and if you did you would have a fair amount of weight on small tires. Planter pulls very easy. Long term no-till on a lot of this ground. Seems like a lot of weight on just the two rear tires. Have used duals for years. Haven't noticed any difference on any of the rows where duals are. Is this because of the no-till being much better soil structure? So keep the duals or get rid of them?
