In Wisconsin it is a state funded and maintained system for the DOT that is free of charge for us to use. The only expense is the cell plan and modem ect.

Edit. The cors tower talks to the satellites to create the correction information. This is sent via Internet and cellular signal to your modem in the tractor. The closer to your location the cors tower is the more accurate the correction information is. Quality of data signal is based on cellular data coverage and cell tower location.

I hope this clarifies it some. Biggest asset will be a dealer who can setup and service you well.
