Yes and no

Problem is forecasting for future needs and trying to meet an unknown demand.

You have to forecast hybrids needed in advance so they can be planted to grow enough seed to sell. So area x doesn't forecast enough and area y has a lot forecasted and are sold out, area x may not get any. Couple this with acre shifts, new hybrid demand, and seed production issues, it creates some challenges.

To allot seed to areas, it comes from above the corporate chain and is regionalized, then broken down farther by localized geography. It gets based off past sales and proposed demand hybrid by hybrid.
