Central Illinois | 3-600 likely if it is solid can but up to a grand if it were larger, remember it is how big it is at the small end that matters. We went through this last year, but we cut down about 25 and had a lumber mill brought to us, cost us 700 for a day of cutting and we did all the labor for moving the boards and logs, but we now have about 3500-5000 board feet of some real nice lumber. 16 is the smallest they would want to mill 24 is a nice mid sized tree. Problem is one tree really lacks value, it takes a truck load to get much real value. I would advertise it on craigslist for 300 and call it a day.
I can give you a contact number, the mill was from south of Springfield, but if you only have one log it is not worth hiring.
