Subject: RE: Walnut log prices

North of London
I don't know about the price but what I would do is contact the forester who I hire when i sell standing logs.
He would be able to tell me the approximate price and which buyers might be interested in walnut.

If you do not have a forester then contact several sawmills and see what they would offer.
Some specialize in different woods so some will offer more than others for the same tree or log(s).

It will not be worth as much as 1 or 2 logs as it would be if they were hauling away a truckload unless you can load and transport it to their mill.

Just be sure to check more than 1 and preferably more than 2 buyers for the price.

Another option might be a local woodworker and/or a portable sawmill to mill it out yourself for local woodworkers.
Would take a little time but selling it piece by piece could add value if you store it and tend it properly which means piling and turning it properly after milling.
