Heck, cultivating was by far the easiest activity in the tobacco patch. Especially once you got experienced and could lift cultivators on the fly! I thought we were in heaven when Grandpa got a second-hand umbrella canopy for the Farmall. I thought sitting in the shade made us big time farmers.

I would take a long day of cultivating over chopping or setting any day of the week. You do have to watch yourself though, or the tobacco (in your case corn) might get "iron worm."
