Subject: Case IH DMI 200 Tigermate field cultivator bolts broke on springs

East Central Arkansas

I was looking at one today and on the first two rows of shanks just about all the long bolts that go through the middle of the coil springs were broke. Is this a common problem with these plows? Is this from pulling to deep and rough conditions? It looks like I can get the broke bolt out of the cast piece and reuse it. The bushing also is gone but I think I can cut them out of 1/2" pipe. The long bolt was about $8.50 from Case IH. The bolt is threaded up farther than bolts from the hardware store so that might be to bad of a price. I think it was like a 1/2"X 11" or so. This is a good looking piece of equipment other than the bolts broken and long bushings missing other than needing a new set of sweeps. What do you think about these plows?
