N IL

UNL96 - 11/26/2014 07:58 +1. I don't know what the love of duals is all about (other than ride) because I hate them. I guess I'm so used to having them off so much I don't like how clumsy they make the tractor when they are on. We pull a 16 row 1770NT with an 8410 with no duals. More importantly there is zero weight and zero fluid on the tractor. Plant everything from flat black bottom muck to rolling HEL ground. In our conditions we figured out if we can't pull it with that setup then we are doing way more damage than good. You cannot see the tractor tracks the day it was planted or anytime during the season. No weights or duals saves close to 5500# of unneeded weight in our conditions. Probably won't work for everyone but it works great for us.

Just out of curiosity what spacing do you run? With our I actually think the big tires ride even better than duals.
