Kingston,Mi | Curt, in the picture of the straw stack, is that a straw barn? I remember a straw barn at my dad's uncles place, essentially several rows of cedar posts with about 8 to 10 feet of headroom, enough rough cut lumber to form a roof then the straw was blown on and over the structure to form a cheap cattle barn. Of course I don't have pictures, but it was in use long (used in the late 1950's) after we quit farming that farm. | |
