I just checked to see if there was a Red Flag coming up at Nellis AFB that several units might be working up for, and there isn't one until January.  No unusual deployments that I'm aware of either.  More likely is that there is some extra activity because the military fiscal year starts October 1, and some budgetary restrictions are loosening up a little bit since the calendar rolled over.
