we built our door too. There is a orfice in line to let door down slowly if something blows. One thing we learned the hard way was, I had to put a pilot operated check valve in between spool valve and cylinder or the door would shut tight and then leak open about 6 inches after about 10 minutes. Also had to put flow restrictor inline with check valve or door would get jerky on way down.
