My new Ram with the v6 only has the electric fan. I love it. Especially when I'm stopped with the A/C on. It changes speeds to whatever is required to operate correctly. This pickup has electric power steering too so the only thing running on the belt is the water pump and alternator. Part of its key to getting good mpg is not wasting horsepower on the front of the engine.
