North End I-15
Dad was always a Case farmer . Bought his first new combine the Fall of 39 . His last the fall of 66. He had a new Case 1030 . Both were nice but the Tractor was a bit underpowered when compared to the 5020's and the D21's of the era . When I came back to farm an uncles place we traded the 1030 off on a Versatile 145 . Loud , dirty , but a monster compared to the other 2WD's of the era .

The case combine I had to buy half interest in and was very nice threshing machine . By the late 70's parts and dealers were few and far between . Value was in the basement . I sold it to a Canadian for $3500 . He was pleased as there were still parts available in Canada . A JD of the same size (95) and age had twice the sales value . I upgraded to 2 105 JDs . Good machines but 10 years old at the time and paid as much for them used as the case sold for new .I had to rebuild the 105's but parts were available and close . IH parts at the time were high priced in comparison to JD parts.
