There are still a lot of guys using those planters around here. I see a guy every spring with a 4440 and an eight row 71 and his corn looks perfect. He has that thing dialed in like you wouldn't believe, I think he has a thin knife in front of each unit. My local Deere shop has the disc blades for them and Lincoln Ag carries all the plates. The plates are super cheap, $12-$15 a piece.

Yetter is the company that bought the rights for them.
