Tim, talk to me about this next time you are at my place. I have geo in my house (17 years) and my shop (5 years). You can install the loops yourself, but it does require moving a lot of dirt. My shop has 7200' of loops. Here we buy the electricity for geo systems from the Co-op at a discount, making geo a very cost effective way to heat. Cal
