Sac & Story county IA
Those tubes need to be deep. Think 8 - 9 feet or more. Even at that depth, the ground still changes a few degrees in winter and summer. I went with vertical wells. I have a backhoe and trencher, Also, I have a neighbor with track hoe that would dig for a whole day for $1000. A new house near here, something is wrong with installation, his power bills are $8-900 per month. So, even experienced guys can make mistakes.
Don't cut corners and get in a trench collapse.
