Who is the intended audience for this message? What behavior is it intended to encourage or prevent? What change in behavior actually takes place because of this sign? Does anyone actually believe that this sign prevents ALL firearms from EVER coming past this point?
I am trying to imagine the thought process that takes place in a big company board room somewhere when they hand down a big decree that says, "We shall print mass quantities of signs and never again shall any firearm enter our hallowed business."
It reminds me of the scene from Blazing Saddles when Mel Gibson and his men ride up to the tollbooth in the middle of the desert and he says, "Somebody's gotta go back and get a ____load of dimes!"
