If your vet thinks they can tell how many puppies from an ultrasound Yes you need a new vet. If she said she was bred and I see 4 maybe you missunderstood. Can not tell how many until you are able to count of a xray. Then it is still uncertain, most of the time it is +/- 1 but they can be positioned where you can count well.

The vet that is a friend that did the ultrasound for me is actually a reproduction specialist. She knows her stuff. We were joking about the number, sex and color of the pups yesterday. Some answers you just have to wait for.
