North End I-15 | Friend from Texas heading to Canada .
He stopped here to leave his handgun with me .
When entering into Canada he handed them his drivers license for ID purposes .
The first Question after scanning the DL was" where is your pistol?"
He told them he had left it with me .
3 hours later , after a complete vehicle search , luggage check he was on his way .
The CC is listed on the data strip on the DL in Texas .
Not sure about other states .
Friend has CC carry permit here in Montana , not sure if it shows up on DL scan or not.
Here in Montana , Farmers or Hunters when afield do not need CC permit .
If I read the law correct as long as I am engaged in Farm business , I do not need a permit to carry concealed.
One list to have that could be life saving , would be a list of the Church people who store a years supply of food on hand . ;>)
Edit : Could also be life threatening as they are known to have firearms also . :>)
