Ed to answer your question about tillage to help alleviate your possible chemical carryover my best source for this kind of information comes from a very respected chemical rep. His opinion if you think you have carry over issues tillage will make it worse. The reason is if there is carryover it is in a narrow part of the soil profile (surface to an inch or 2), if you do tillage it will move the chemical deeper into the profile thus taking taking the new crop longer for the roots to grow out of the carryover chemical.
