EC North Dakota

I have family members who all farmed and had/have quite different degrees.

Business, ag Econ masters, soils masters, ag systems, ag engineer, diesel mech, aviation, agronomy and ag Econ bachelors.

I myself started in business Econ and accounting, took a lot of ag Econ, ag engineering and agronomy.

Go after what you really have interest in and do it hard. But still have the discipline to take and finish the required classes you may not care for. Have an open mind on everything but go after what you're interested in.

I thought I really screwed up my education because I took classes I really wanted to learn something about, even if they didn't fit my major. Then I encouraged my kids to follow their curriculum and finish easier. Big mistake. You're going there to learn, not just mark off classes completed.

One of my most successful family members only had an 8th grade diploma.

Whatever you decide to take, learn it well enough you could teach the class the next semester. And love the learning, it really is the greatest!

The most important thing though is the girls!
