I'm still a young farmer. As I'm learning...there's no typical year. There's always something comin' at ya you can't see. Anyway, drying is done, plowing is 50% done, thought I'd share a few photos of some highlights (rather, times I was actually smart enough to take a photo lol). #1 my beans after the 6" in 45 minutes...not fun. Underwater for 16 hrs. #2 my corn with stretch-marks (lol) #3 it was a good sweet corn year #4 getting lined up for the tractor parade (Owatonna, MN) #5 Beautiful day for picking #6 The kids (nieces/nephews) were very tired after a full day of corn surfing #7 view from the cab #8 major breakdown of the year-the fan bearing & casting from our 1660 combine decided to retire...with a bang! Caught it before it hit the radiator thankfully #9 dryer setup at night-no breakdowns, hardly a spill! #10 found the front bottom standard broken on the plow, missed it from last year #11 a reminder it can get worse... (haha)
