SW Ohio | That terminal is one of my regulars, been going there for decades. It has put a pinch on the harvest glut here, hard to say what will be the effect longer term. Rumor has it CGB was thinking of buying it for the purpose of handling wheat only, they do handle a lot of wheat for local millers, and source beans which all go to Morristown IN, all the corn goes by rail to southeast.
I can't believe with the volume of beans coming out of SW Ohio they have not figured out a way to use parts of that facility, there is a separate flat storage on the other side of the dump than the leg house that burned/exploded, must be more to the story. Also don't know what was in house that is still in there, but would assume mostly wheat. | |
