N FLA | A lot more than I can throw at it in the next 30 days. Ballpark is 2 acres per head. But that comes to a crashing halt in winter on warm season grass. And it doesnt stockpile well. Late season bahiagrass is about 44 TDN and 6% protein. But if we can get 17 pounds of roughage in them, 4 pounds of supplement just about gets it done. My objective right now is keep everything alive until rye grazing comes on. And that's not even planted yet. Starting to get nervous. But I have grass everywhere which isn't a bad thing. | |
