| Lot of people havent mentaly adjusted to the new level of cull cow prices, Had a friend tell me he would never give over a $1000 for a bred cow, hed been saving heifers and hadnt bought cows in for 6 or 7 years. tried to show him you were probably paying about the same premium above cull price for a bred cow its just that the cull price has risen so much. Central Missouri you can buy a few short solid & broken mouth P2 cows for $1100-1600. I snuck in last week and bought a 7 yr old p3 for $1025 @910 lbs still waiting to buy a 3rd period cow from the packers like puff said he did but to much feed here for now | |
