Missouri | I've got a 625F Hydraflex header on a 9650 combine. The feederhouse raise/lower response in AHC mode is too sluggish. The dials for manual and automatic lift speed are set to the maximum.
When the ground contour changes in a way that the header needs to lower, it results in a "bounce" several feet long where it misses the bottom few inches of bean stalks. When the contour changes in a way that the header needs to lower, I can feel the header dragging hard on the ground. I expect to have to slow down in these circumstances, but not to the extent that it has been taking lately.
In the old days, this was caused by an accumulator that had gone flat, or was turned off. I have searched everywhere on this machine, and I cannot find a hydraulic accumulator for the feederhouse lift. Was it optional on these machines, or am I looking in the wrong place? | |
