the higher the intial moisture the slower they need dried. Seed coats dry rapidly therefore will shrink faster then the bean causing them to fall off in the process... Anything over 17% would likely only handle 135-150 range. I dried many beans at 135 and they maintain integrity and grade way better than when I get rushed at the dryer.
