VFD? We use a variable frequency drive to slow down the sump on our wet bin. It is manual control for the speed using an external 4 position switch. It spools up nice and slow rather than starting with a bang. Someday I'm going to learn to do the programming then they won't cost an arm and a leg so we can use them for more things.
