Subject: RE: RowTrack Uses?

I think for running planter and cart I have heard no complaints and I think they work pretty awesome.

The only people I hear complain are the ones that buy 350s and put wide belts on so they can have a mini quad track for tillage work without the price.

Personally I think the investment in a higher hp wheeled machine like a 400 with the big engine is a better overall deal for most row crop farms tillage operations. Not to mention all the drive complexity and wear en tear cost and additional depreciation The net output per hour used is all that matters.

Now if flotation is actually a real issue on your farm then the net output on a wheeled will be less then tracked machine but 99 percent of my operating conditions are not like that anyway because we are on the over equipped side of things and not mention you can buy a lot of nice big rubber and possibly some horsepower for the price of wide belted row tracks
