Northeast, NE | Talk it out with her. After 5 yrs. nothing should be a surprise. Let her know that you love her and support her and will always be there for her. Tell her point blank that when things settle down a bit, you are going to ask her to marry you. She will be very relieved and hopefully her stress will be lessened. After all...what is the hurry...you've waited this long.
However, I also agree with the other reply that you can't put your life on hold either. This isn't hold, it is just a short pause. | |
