| Have never used internet provider via satellite but I'm skeptical if you will be happy with the speeds you'll get. Is your broadband through a cable provider or DSL? The reason I ask is cable broadband and bog down if there is a lot of traffic on your node because you are essentially sharing bandwidth with everyone else on that same cable node. DSL should be more reliable for speeds as it is dedicated bandwidth. You may want to run this speed test during different times of the day and see what you get for a result: http://www.speedtest.net/ It also may not be your internet provider, have you opened up taskmanager to see if something is running that is taking up a lot of CPU and RAM usage or rebooted when it bogged down to see if it clears up the issue? Lot of variables involved that could be causing it | |
