dry and hot years worked great. The last 10 wet and cool years not so much. Bottom line the drier and warmer climates/years works okay. The farther north you go the worse it works. Makes our already short growing season shorter. Soils just do not warm up with all the trash on top, forces you into earlier maturing crops which yield less. Still use it when it works to my advantage. Getting the fertilizer into the soil profile can be an issue. If we are dry and warm will do it in a heart beat. Sometimes when it is so wet you can't till and getting late will still do it and slice it in. There-- clear as mud when we use it, perfect NAT argument explanation. LOL
