Subject: Rained on a 20% chance...got wheat planted at least! (Pics)

north-central Indiana west of Fulton
Couldn't get rain in late July- early August on 80% chance but sure enough...go out at 5 and it's raining! Another delay in bean harvest that just got started. Did get our small amount of wheat no-tilled yesterday, finally. Can 't say it was "dusted" in though. One field of bean stubble will have alfalfa planted in it next summer. The other field was corn stalks and will be chopped and put in a silo next spring. Gives us a place to haul manure in the summer. Have never no- till wheat in to corn stalks... We will see if we get a stand. The Tye drill made it look like a VT tool had been run over it... in a way I guess it was.
