South TX | Should do fine in stripper stubble. I've grown it 2 years now, the best stuff I had was no tilled into some wheat stubble (cut with a grain platform). The acres planted in stubble really seemed to hold on better vs. the conventional tilled acres.
Worst case I see is you may have to cut in wheat stubble when harvesting, but the sesame may try to outgrow the stubble and set pods higher.
I've never been around a stripper header, but it seems as it would shatter the pods greatly, knocking a lot of seed out. | |
