My place is a little smaller at 1500 sq feet, we try to keep it around 70 in here all the time, natural gas forced air. The highest gas bill we got last year was about $150. No central air so we end up running 3 window units, and the electric is about the same to cool it. My wife told me to add in that I'm not stingy on paying to be comfortable, haha.
